Professor Andrew Spencer - President
Professor Andrew Spencer joined the Caribbean Maritime University as President on September 12, 2022. He was conferred with the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander on August 6, 2024, by the Governor General upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister of Jamaica.
Professor Ibrahim Ajagunna - Deputy to the President
Professor Ibrahim Ajagunna is the Deputy to the President of the Caribbean Maritime University. He holds a Higher National Diploma from the Federal Polytechnic Idah, Nigeria, a Master of Science degree in Tourism Management from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and a Doctor of Philosophy in
Sustainable Development from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. In 2012, he published a book that looks at planning process for sustainable tourism development using the South Coast of Jamaica as case example.
Ms. Keisha Walker - Vice President, Administration and University Registrar
Miss Keisha Walker who joined the Caribbean Maritime University (formerly the Caribbean Maritime Institute) in 2000 has held many positions at the University throughout her tenure - Executive Secretary; International Programmes Manager; Admissions Manager; Deputy Registrar since 2017. She acted as Registrar for approximately two (2) years and commenced acting as Vice President, Administration/University Registrar in July 2022.
Mr. Eton Chin - Vice President, Finance and University Treasurer
Mr. Eton Chin is a strong business-minded individual, versed in business processes and systems, and engaging in cross-functional collaborations. As an insightful, process-oriented strategic leader, he drives automated information systems, analytics and coaching excellence in staff.
Mr. Matthew Ormsby - Vice President, Digital Transformation
Mr. Matthew Ormsby is an effective and strategic
leader with proficiency in leading teams through the life cycle of
software development and arming them with the right knowledge, tools and
training while implementing project and development best practices to
help grow multiple portfolios across any organization.
Dr. Eron McLean - Vice President, Physical Planning and Facilities
Dr. Eron McLean is a seasoned executive at the Caribbean Maritime
University (CMU). He holds a Doctor of Education in Adult Education
from Walden University, an MBA degree from the University of New
Orleans, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the West
Indies. He is a trained teacher with a Diploma in Teaching English &
History from Church Teachers' College. Dr. McLean has done several
professional courses including a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate
Governance at the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
