Mr. Eton Chin is a strong business-minded individual, versed in business processes and systems, and engaging in cross-functional collaborations. As an insightful, process-oriented strategic leader, he drives automated information systems, analytics and coaching excellence in staff.

Mr. Chin held several leadership posts during his tenure at the University of the West Indies, Mona which began in 2007. These include Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting; Assistant Manager, Information Systems & Systems Support; Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting, Information Systems & Systems Support; Finance Manager, Financial Reporting.

During that time, he initiated succession planning strategies, and lead the discovery phase role and resource and played a role in Digital Transformation projects for Finance at the Mona Campus, among other welcomed initiatives.

Mr. Chin holds a Certificate in Business Analysis Fundamentals (Excellence), a Master of Science in Corporate Finance (Distinction) and an Executive Master's in Business Administration from the Mona School of Business and Management at the University of the West Indies, Mona and a Certificate in Forensic Auditing from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.

Mr. Chin joins the Caribbean Maritime University in the capacity of Vice President, Finance/Treasury effective February 13, 2023.
