Office of Physical Planning and Facilities
The Office of Physical Planning and Facilities is pivotal in guiding the growth and enhancement of the University's campus. Our responsibilities encompass the design, construction, and renovation of facilities to meet the evolving needs of our academic, research, and administrative community. We work closely with stakeholders to ensure projects align with our institutional mission, vision, and sustainability objectives. Our focus extends to regulatory compliance, efficient space utilization, and ongoing infrastructure maintenance, fostering an environment conducive to learning, innovation, and community engagement.
The Office provide various support services of the University including the maintenance of buildings, equipment and infrastructure, physical planning and development and construction of new facilities and retrofitting of existing facilities and the maintenance of the University Fleet of motor vehicles as well as boats.
Departments
Properties and Special Projects Department (Functional)
Responsible for the maintenance, sanitation, and upkeep of all facilities, prepare and meet infrastructural & transportation demands for all areas of the University
Facilities Management Unit
The Facilities management Unit helps ensure the functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. We are responsible for Facilities Maintenance, Transportation and Sanitation of the University Campuses.
Special Projects Unit
The special projects unit organizes and executes the University’s projects that may fall outside the regular scope of Facilities and Maintenance. They lead the infrastructural development of the University.
